The boat is fully air-conditioned throughout with new high efficiency chillers fitted in 2024 with individual controllers in each cabin, galley, saloon and crew cabin.
There are 3 cabins on board, a large full beam master cabin with ensuite, there is a large double 'VIP' to the bow with direct access to the day head, plus a twin cabin to starboard and a single crew cabin, where we all have space for 1 small storage bag to leave personal items on-board.
There is a full galley, with large fridge, a hob, kettle, dishwasher, microwave etc plus the crew cabin has full size washer dryer.
the on-board generator is a 17KW Onan which keeps everything functioning while out at sea.
There is a BBQ on the flybridge with plenty of seating and sun-lounge areas.
Included is also a very nice and recent Williams 325 in excellent condition with very little engine hours on it.
Knot@work is fitted with the more desirable and largest Volvo D13 900HP engines (1200 hours each) which provide ample power when needed.
The lucky person who buys into this will be an official owner and the registration is officially certificated by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency. You will also be listed on the insurance documents and the tax is fully paid.
We have a changeover day of Wednesday throughout the year (arrive after 4pm and depart by 9am the following week). This runs from March - January with February reserved for annual maintenance.
When you arrive the boat is fully valeted inside & out with fresh bed linen and towels etc, we have a local cleaning crew who always do a superb job. - you will have your own keys to get on board.
Currently the monthly running costs per share are £650 which is paid by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month. This covers things like moorings, insurance, weekly cleaning and laundry plus electricity, water etc.
In addition, we have a winter cash call for servicing works when the boat is lifted out and fully serviced etc during February. On occasion we may have other cash calls if urgent works are required or we may agree to upgrade any items on board. Current members are appointed as boat manager, assistant boat manager & treasurer - all of which are crucial to the smooth running of the boat, this is voted on and agreed in
All owners have to have a minimum of Day skipper with an ICC qualification, additionally everyone has to have a minimum of 2-3 days training by a qualified, recognised local skipper to agree the competency of any new member, this is to ensure the safety of the crew and boat which is in everyone's interest. New members will need to be 'interviewed' by the current owners and have to be approved before any share sale can take place.
We have our AGM usually in Oct / Nov, this is where you get the chance to meet all the other owners and discuss anything topical about the boat, maintenance requirements etc and agree any improvements and expenses etc.
We generally pick our weeks for the following season, via our WhatsApp group - this is done 1 week at a time starting with the longest serving owner who will pick their 1st week, then its the turn of the 2nd owner who picks their 1st week and so on - once we've all picked our 1st week it goes round again in the same order.
We have had a boat share on Majorca now for 10 years and i have to say, it works extremely well. We have a boat manager, assistant boat manager and a treasurer. We also have on hand a very experienced maintenance crew who know the boat very well and will always do their best to assist with any issues.
